Dr. Randall Zila joined McPherson & Jacobson in 2020.
Dr. Zila brings more than 50 years of experience in educational leadership, with a proven record of guiding organizations through complex change and challenge. He possesses deep expertise across all facets of educational leadership and the vision necessary to address the evolving demands of today’s educational landscape.
Dr. Zila holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Northern Colorado. His distinguished career includes roles as Executive Director of Student Achievement and Human Resources for Thompson School District and later as District Superintendent for St. Vrain Valley School District. While at St. Vrain, Dr. Zila was honored as Colorado Superintendent of the Year in 2007.
Dr. Zila currently serves as the Executive Director of Centennial BOCES and is on superintendent search team for McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. In recognition of his distinguished service and outstanding leadership, he received the Roy G. Brubacher Outstanding Administrator Award on behalf of the Colorado Board of Cooperative Educational Services in 2021.
In addition to his work in education, Dr. Zila demonstrated strong corporate leadership as an executive with the EAGLE-Net Alliance, where he led the launch and management of a $100 million federal broadband technology grant. This initiative expanded high-speed internet access to rural communities across Colorado, providing critical connectivity for public entities such as schools, libraries, and hospitals.
