Dr. Christi Barrett joined McPherson & Jacobson L.L.C. in 2026. Dr. Barrett made history in 2016 as the first female Superintendent of Hemet Unified School District (HUSD), a milestone that reflects her trailblazing leadership. She continues to serve the district today, leading more than 3,200 staff members and supporting over 22,000 students across one of the largest geographical school districts in the State of California. Her commitment to excellence has been recognized repeatedly, including being named Superintendent of the Year three times by the Association of School Administrators (ACSA) Region 19 and the Western Riverside Association of School Managers. These honors reflect her consistent dedication to students, families, and staff.
Dr. Barrett’s academic journey includes earning a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of California, Riverside, followed by a Doctorate from Claremont Graduate University in the School of Educational Studies’ Urban Leadership program. She later received the Urban Leadership Alumni Achievement Award. Beyond the district, Dr. Barrett actively contributes to her community through leadership roles, including Immediate Past President of the Health Valley Foundation, Board Member for the Western Science Center, and executive member of the Hemet San Jacinto Group, while also collaborating with organizations such as the National Center for Systemic Improvement. She frequently shares her expertise as a thought leader, including appearances on podcasts such as Studer Education’s Accelerate Your Performance: Continuous Improvement Through Leadership.
