Dr. Judy Sclair-Stein joined McPherson & Jacobson in 2015 and serves as a search consultant and a member of the firm’s board of directors. Dr. Sclair-Stein was a superintendent, assistant superintendent for human resources, principal, and teacher for over thirty-one years, before retiring in June of 2013.
In addition to serving as a search consultant with McPherson and Jacobson, in retirement, Dr. Sclair-Stein consults with school districts and non-profits on human resources issues. She has also taught graduate courses in Educational Leadership.
Dr. Sclair-Stein earned her Doctorate in Education—Educational Leadership, from St. Louis University, her Educational Specialist and Master’s degrees (both in Educational Leadership) from Truman University in Kirksville, Missouri and her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Speech and Drama from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
Dr. Sclair-Stein has participated in numerous superintendent searches in Missouri including Francis Howell School District, The School District of Clayton and Lee’s Summit R-7 School District. Other superintendent searches include Richland School District Two in South Carolina, New Haven Public Schools in Connecticut, Boone County Public Schools in Kentucky and Washington County Public Schools in Maryland.
